Some of our propane cases are high-profile, like the propane tanker that rolled over, became a rocket and burned out several apartment houses near I-287 outside New York. But many of our cases are more mundane, like the propane tank here.

The tank should have been subjected to rigorous visual inspection every 5 years, but it was so rusted that the metal became paper thin and failed under the pressure of the propane inside. Experts for the propane supplier said the propane couldn't have seeped into the house, and that the fire was caused by kerosene soaked into an interior wooden post under a kitchen stove that hadn't burned kerosene in ten years.

The case settled in favor of our client, the homeowner, well before trial.
